CARL F. SCHMITT

Carl F. Schmitt received his law degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1993 after graduating from Thomas Aquinas College in 1990. He was admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Judicial Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1993 and was admitted to the federal bar for the District of Massachusetts in 1994.  After law school, he joined the law practice of former United States Attorney Frank L. McNamara, Jr., where as the senior associate of a twelve-attorney insurance defense practice he supervised the litigation case load of the largest workers' compensation carrier in Massachusetts.  He also developed a commercial real estate practice involving both transactional work and litigation.  In 2003, he became a founding partner of Schmitt and Dillon.  He has been a resident of Massachusetts since 1979.  He serves as the President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Trivium School in Lancaster.  He and his wife Margaret have nine children.

THOMAS M. DILLON

Thomas M. Dillon received his Bachelor of Arts from Thomas Aquinas College in 1991.  Prior to receiving his law degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1994 he held a Felony Trial Division Internship with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in Chicago, Illinois, where he was admitted to the bar in 1994.  In 1994 he accepted a federal judicial clerkship with the Honorable Robert D. Potter in the United States District Court sitting in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this position he worked on a wide range of federal criminal and civil matters.  In 1996 he was admitted to the state and federal bars of Commonwealth of Massachusetts and joined the law practice of former United States Attorney Frank L. McNamara, Jr. where he practiced workers' compensation and insurance defense.  In 2003 he became a founding partner of Schmitt and Dillon, and developed a real estate and business litigation practice to complement his experience in insurance defense.  He lives in Lunenburg, Massachusetts with his wife Elizabeth and their seven children.
